“After over a thousand years of peace… I can’t believe it. You’ve got to run. Protect him, Sam. Save Arthur. Save Albion.” Sixteen years of the most Average Joe life known to man quickly run away from Sam Claver in one afternoon. Growing up in the area of England where Camelot, home of the Arthurian legend, supposedly was, Sam knows the ins and outs of the famed King Arthur and Merlin myth: ‘Arthur—the greatest King to have ever existed. Merlin—the most powerful wizard to have ever existed.’ But they didn’t exist; it’s just a story, a fairytale. Isn’t it? Sinead Annis seems to disagree. And she’s persistent that Sam needs to understand that perhaps they are more than legends. Perhaps they are wholly truthful. Exactly one-thousand, five-hundred and twelve years have passed since King Arthur perished on the battlefield. The dark forces that ended his rule prematurely have had over a millennia to recover and regain strength. They will attack again. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the part where Sinead seems to think Sam is the reincarnation of the timeless sorcerer: Merlin.

|ACT I · MERLIN FANFIC · WATTPAD CREATORS PROGRAM| "In a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom rests on the shoulders of a young man. His name: Merlin." *** After two weeks of peace in Camelot, the Death Lion is loose, conjured by Morgana, and is eager to kill. Joined by King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Merlin embarks on an epic quest to slay the beast. Whether he succeeds or not all boils down to the friendship he has with Arthur--and if he can save his magic before the Death Lion destroys both it and the young king. As the two friends travel to unknown lands and encounter new enemies and allies, they're forced to make decisions they never thought were possible--decisions that will either help or shatter their friendship, which will determine who will win, who will die, and who is the true Once and Future King. Let the misery begin. *** *Written in 2019.* *Word Count: 20,000-25,000*
