Nothing Lasts Forever.

"Nothing lasts forever.." Claire mutters to herself as she aims another powerful punch at her punching bag.

It's been 3 years since Claire and her sister Charlotte had run away from their homes.

3 years since they've been running from city to city, hiding away as best as they could and fighting on the streets so that they could survive in this shit storm of life.

Claire is no longer the happy go lucky girl, she no longer has that constant smile on her face anymore. Shes broken. Tortured and lost. Every smile she wears now are fake.

It's one thing to have hope but when hopes and expectations comes crashing down to earth, when reality turns into a freaking drama show...hope doesn't stay much long.

"Drop the gun b*tch!" He spits at me. The blood from his nose leaving ugly stains on his teeth.

I don't smirk. I don't react. Instead I just aim and pull the trigger. And again. And again. And one more time. The gun hot in my hand as I see him fall backwards. His lifeless eyes still watching me.

I turn around, my eyes scanning for an exit.

There.

I sprint with my bloody leg up towards the window. Pulling myself up onto its ledge. And then I jump.

Expecting to land on flat surface, I prepare myself for the impact. But it never comes.

Instead I get caught in mid air. Trapped.

But how? I ask myself in terror.

And then...I see him. The one I waited to meet for all my life. Standing there with his intense gaze on me.

"Drone 75." Is all he says before I'm enveloped in darkness.
