Days almost never change. They always stay the same. There might be slight differences, but days never change. Year after year it's always going to be the same. However the lives within those days constantly change. They're never the same from one to the next.

A small girl, Ellie, learns this fact firsthand as she moves in with her young aunt, Emma, a woman who isn't sure how to handle everything but wants to, and her son, a boy who has difficulty communicating and understanding, Bryan. Their lives all different, all changing, all becoming something else entirely.
