Set against the backdrop of the 1990s, this story unfolds a unique and unconventional tale. "I see her every day in school, and now I don't look at her the way a teacher should look at his student. The young woman who sits on the fourth bench of the second row is going to be my wife soon. I know she must be thinking that I rejected her, but it's not my place to tell." Anav, a higher secondary school teacher, finds himself bound in matrimony with Dharini, a student he never particularly favored. This is not a story of enemies to lovers or a romantic journey to marriage. Instead, it's an arranged marriage, where their parents chose them for each other. Despite the traditional setting, Avan and his parents possess a progressive mindset. This narrative delves into various social issues such as dowry, racism, body shaming, and women's education. It also addresses taboo topics like periods and sex education, providing a thought-provoking exploration of these critical themes.
