It is important that leaders constantly reinforce the message that there are no islands of excellence and that no one can succeed alone. Most teams will fall in a bell curve of sorts, not just in performance, but also in terms of criticality of role/function.
In such situations, it is imperative that the leader establishes clearly that all roles, big or small, have a pride of place and a reason to exist. And only when everyone enables one another will success for the team happen.
True magic happens when team members enable each other because they 'want' to and not because they 'have' to. Here is a quick but powerful game that you can play with your team (or include in your program if you are a trainer) to drive home this message through reflection and realization.
ACTIVITY - LEAN IN
A straight start line is displayed through a rope/string/ribbon.
Divide the group into Teams ( team size of 5-8 is a good number) and they are made to stand at the start line. Each team is given a coin.
Each team gets 3 chances to place the coin as far as possible from the start line
Teams must use different members for each attempt

Teams must use different members for each attempt
The person placing the coin and the team members supporting him must always remain behind the line and should not fall over or touch the ground beyond the line even after placing the coin.
Failure to adhere to the points above will mean the attempt getting disqualified
The team placing the coin the farthest from the start line wins the challenge
