When a young man takes personal vengeance against one of the legendary Eastern Dragons, his actions wound the creature, forcing it to flee west. Once it arrives, it disappears somewhere overseas, never to be seen again. Yet not long after these events, magic returns to the world in the form of an ambitious warlord. After many years of coping with his previous vendetta, Kenji now aimlessly roams these lands, searching for purpose and a new sense of enlightenment.

Along the way, he'll embark with warriors and poets alike. An old veteran Crusader Knight with a strong moral code named Rei, and a young bard maiden named Lilly. Acting out of his own vendetta for the comrades that had been slain, one of the ageless and mythical Witchhunters known only by Wolf discovers an enormous reservoir of magic from Kenji, deciding to join him to either help him control this power, or to otherwise put him down. Together they rediscover and learn more aspects about the world in which they live in while questioning their own and each other's faiths.

Lord Akins Red Blade returns a decade after his defeat during his previous campaign, now armed with volatile and mighty magic. His goals today are the same as before; to conquer the world and rule it. However, in exchange for his power, he had to strike a bargain with a mysterious spirit who speaks only to him. With each passing day, he struggles to understand and control his abilities, but hopes to finally succeed before he loses his own spirit.

In a land where faith is questioned, ideals alone will determine the fate of the world.
