Shelby Jennings, an eighteen year old with a criminal past, grew up never knowing her father. Her mother kicked her out of the house when she was just fourteen and has been providing for herself for almost four years while working as a restaurant hostess in Hull, Massachusetts.

Meanwhile, in an almost unknown part of New York, Quinton Rhodline and his sixteen year old daughter, Juniper Rhodline own a hippie commune. Something about this strange community catches the eye of everyone who knows of it, be it only a handful of people. Something more magical and strange is going on.

Shelby expands her mind past folding napkins for minimum wage and smoking pot and decides to head for a place with more potential. Even unbeknownst to herself where she is going, she sets out.

The family of dirty hippies at 528 Fairfield Grove Drive keep their secrets and magic close knit. Only certain someones see what Fairfield Grove has to offer.
