"The road to self discovery is a long one and since I'm the one who stumbled down it, I can tell you it's not easy. I'm accepting but in no way am I naive. Many people will tell you that you can't do it alone and that you need someone to guide you. I can tell you that that statement is false. The only reason I got to where I am today is because I took matters into my own hands, no matter who it hurt because your own happiness is the only one that matters in the end anyways. Right?" I tell the group of young and eager adults who took time out of their day to listen to me speak. To tell them how to become successful and how I became the most influential person on the face of Earth. - Jacki Burke was given a choice, keep falling into the same abusive trap her boyfriend would set for her or give someone else a chance, perhaps an old friend. She was given a choice, to stay in the city that drowned her or to prevail above the poverty that struck her and her family. She was given a choice, let everyone else decide things for her or plan out her own fate. With a younger brother to take care of and about $20 to her name, she takes small steps towards each victory. Nobody, not her boyfriend, Danny, not her stepdad or her mother, not any of her friends, no one was going to stop her from making something of herself. This is another rags to riches story with a little twist on it. Deceit and betrayal with a little bit of regret is the only way to reach the top, she's sure of it. Will all the lying and the deception catch up to her? Will the very thing that made her so successful also be the reason she fails so terribly? *All these ideas and characters are forged from my own imagination. If anyone attempts to steal or copy my ideas, action will be taken accordingly. There are several adult themes portrayed throughout such as violence, drugs, strong language and sexual situations.*

Five years ago, she was Isabella-a struggling girl who made a desperate choice, one that led to a single night with billionaire 𝐗𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧. She walked away without looking back, carrying a secret that could change both of their lives forever. With no meeting again, they both parted their ways but what if she meets him again after so many years but this time things have been changed. She is no longer that girl cursing her fate. Instead she wrote her fate herself. Will he be able to recognise her after five years and the secret she is hiding from him? Now, when she's back in America for the first time in years, ready to open an art gallery and leave the past where it belongs, her fate has other plans. When she unexpectedly comes face-to-face with Xander again, the life she built begins to crack. He's just as intense, just as dangerously handsome but he's also full of questions. Questions she isn't ready to answer. As old feelings resurface, so do buried secrets, ones that neither of them saw coming. But some truths were never meant to be found, and when dark secrets from their past emerge, 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐢𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞.
