A note before you read: I'm glad you're taking the time to read my poetry :). But before you do, I'd like to mention something. Aureate Fates
In a country divided by a blood feud, a unifying festival brings both sides together for a few weeks of celebration. Reds, society's elites, are forced to interact with Blues, society's poorest and most unfortunate citizens. But on the last night of the festival, a plague sinks its unbiased teeth into the land, blind to blood. Soon, both Reds and Blues scramble for a solution to cure the plague and a succeeding famine. What will happen when a set of deadly citizens are thrown together in order to save the fate of the world through an ancient, forgotten prophecy? Blood feuds and deep desires threaten to disrupt their dynamic, but despite it, they must work together to finally end the destruction inflicted upon the land. Soul
"In a world ruled by power and tyranny, peace is a distant dream. You were once a child, innocent and new to life, yet someone ignited the flames of destruction, suffocating your breath and stealing away the purity of your air. All that remained were fleeting drops of water and the faintest hope that the fires would one day cease. Perhaps you were gifted, your powers beyond what was ever expected, but power isn't just strength-it's a threat. Years passed, and you grew to despise everyone and everything. In rage and vengeance, you found a twisted kind of salvation. Amidst the chaos, you found home with someone you've picked up while desperately trying to escape the chains of fate. And though agony shaped my path, I never wavered from my purpose. Through hell and blood, I built my name and wealth, offering others a chance for redemption, for lives once broken like my own. //He had my hands pinned tightly above my head as I squirmed beneath him. The blade twisting between his fingers. He held it up to my throat. I was afraid but refused to show it. "Hurt me." I said between gritted teeth. He just gave me a sorrowful glance before driving the dagger into my flesh.// This is no story of love and happiness. This is a story of death and destruction. One of a man and woman who met one night and not only changed the lives of themselves, but the lives of a whole world of people. One was fire and one was water. They were perfectly balanced. Until one night when the sun fell just below the tip of the tallest castle, the balance faltered, and all hell broke loose. Fire on fire. This is no memorable story that was told on for generations after. No. This is a story of the forgotten. ------------------------------------------- The prince and princess are forced to marry out of their fathers hatred for one another.
