The Observed have no idea that they are being Observed. Just like they have no idea that they ARE the Observed.

They just live their sinful, complicated and quite frankly, irresistibly fascinating lives.
Well, at least they are to A.

Every year, around Autumn, A's least favourite season, she finds a new subject to become Observed; leaving one behind. 
Never tampering with their lives, never releasing what information she has gathered about them, and never, EVER, interacting with the Observed, as A calls them.

 Ethan Whitmore just might change that.
A handsome, charming playboy who keeps to himself.......and is now tangled up in a murder.

As time flies by, possibly closing on an incorrect verdict, can A keep from falling for him?
