Zayne, a powerful lancer, is bested in combat by the swordswoman Ruby. Zayne wakes up to find that he was killed and he is now a warrior in a tournament, and if he wins he will get any wish he wants granted including revival. but there is a slight problem the other Warriors are powerful fighters. And Ruby the one whom he was slain by was one of the opponents.

His father was forced to compete and died, then his mother passed a year later from a broken heart.
