What can possibly go wrong with a kayak trip during a full moon? There is plenty of light. A nice secluded slough onto old native american tribal grounds will make for a very leisurely trip. For Pete, owner of the local kayak center, this is just what he thought-- A trip not offered by just anyone, a novelty of a sort, something to give his little company an edge. Of course, he didn't know the whole time the kayak group was being stalked by a werewolf.

"Goddess," he begged. "Please help me protect my people." "God," Another one prayed in the front seat of his truck. "Please help me keep my kids safe." "They're all I have left." They both spoke in unison, reaching the ears of their respective deities. They were both some of the strongest men of faith, going through so much hardship. While one tries to protect their home, another seeks to find a safe one for his family. "I believe it's time," She spoke to the woman next to her. High in the sky they floated, their dresses dancing in the moonlight. While her dress was one with the beams of soft white light, the other woman had a dress of gold, showing the sunlight that she mainly stayed in. Her wings were pure white, her hair a vibrant red. She had much color, while she kept with the soft colors of the moon, her own hair white and long, soft as silk. "I can't promise that it will be perfect in the beginning," the angel spoke, looking down at the man in the truck. "But he is of a kind heart, even if it is untrusting at first." "I'm sure Declan can handle that," the Goddess of the Moon smiled at her. "Out of all the challenges he has faced, I'm positive that this won't be difficult for him to achieve." "Out of all the challenges that my soldier has faced," the angel grew a worried look. "I'm worried that this might be the most difficult." *** Wolf Peak has many tales of good and bad, but never has it struggled as much as it was right then. At this point, they're willing to take any chances they can to save their residents from evil in the forests. Even if that means trusting a new family coming into town. With clashing religions and trigger fingers, both men are in for a bumpy ride.

Kyara Rivers has had a hard past. Between losing her loving parents to an attack, and running from the foster home she was put in, she had a lot on her plate. The day she found wolf she was a werewolf, she was thrilled, even more considering she was a silver one. Those are rare. She doesn't remember much, and has lived her life enduring every hardship you can imagine. Now, she has stumbled with her former pack: Full Moon Pack. And meets her mate. Aiden Callahan is the next-to-be Alpha of the Full Moon. Everybody remembers the day he lost his best friend, Silver, the day the Alpha and Luna of the pack were killed and their positions were given away to the couple of Beta's. They are not very excited that the true heir has come to reclaim what was hers before. Neither is Aiden. But the mate pull is stronger. And so is her will. "Kyara Rivers" He sneered. "Good having you back as a rogue" "Who exactly are you calling a rogue, Alpha?" She licked her lips. "I preferred to be referred as a Lone Wolf myself" He snorted "What brings you here?" She looked around as frowned. "It feels good, doesn't it? Knowing you stole something?" "I didn't steal anything" He seethed. "You better come back to wherever hole you crawled out of" "Oh, now, now, Alpha," She singsonged. "Jealously is a very ugly feeling" His nostrils flared. "I'm not jealous. I am Alpha" "Really?" She wiggled her eyebrows. "Is that why the aura I'm currently feeling is that of a Beta's?" "Hiding something, Alpha Callahan?" She suggested. ------‐--------------------------------------------------------------- All rights reserved; To the story, I do not own the cover. If it's someone's, please report and I'll remove it.
