Thousands of years ago below the ocean waves, the Kingdom of Merind were victorious in eradicating their enemy with the help of the Gods of the Sea. Before disappearing they decreed that when a Prince of Merind comes of age he must host what is known as the Tides to find his mate and future Queen.
Prince Jeffery Thorton has delayed the Tides for as long as possible. After celebrating his twenty-second birthday he knows he can't push it off any longer. Lauren Holland is a human that works in the royal household. Jeffery and Lauren are secretly in love. Selected to participate in the Tides, Lauren has to prove that she is worthy of becoming the next Queen of Merind. Tension rises as an enemy surfaces that was thought to be long dead. With war looming on the horizon the pressure is on. Learning to navigate the stormy waters of Merinds court and a new underwater world, she will have to fight for her love against the odds. Lauren will quickly learn that secrets, politics, love and sex can be a deadly anchor. She will either surface victorious or drown in the process.

The royal guards ambushed the princess and took her away to the witch's house near the ocean. The two white witches agreed to help the princess for her desperate plea to return to her home castle. And stop her brother for his act of disposing his only twin sibling. The two white witches told her to take a swim in the sea before leaving. Before Lucia tries to get out of the water, she was suddenly transformed into a mermaid by the two white witches. There are two ways to break the spell before her time is up by the next month. If Lucia gets a kiss by the merman, she'll be a mermaid for all eternity. If the princess gets a kiss from the prince on land, she will be human again. If not, she will be lost in the world of water. Will Lucia see her family again as a mermaid? How is she going to reach them if she can't swim as a mermaid? Princess Lucia was new to be a mermaid.
