A nuclear war has been raging across the globe for over 15 years and the Earth is in ruins. The world is completely chaotic. Criminals escape from prison, people are killing each other for supplies, the government and military forces are trying to take everything from what little the people have, and more. Then suddenly, word gets out that a wave of radiation will occur imminently as a side-effect of the nuclear war and all life will be destroyed. Skylar Wakely fights desperately to keep her and her brother alive after her father doesn't return from a supply run. She begins to lose hope on her and her brother's survival when she meets a stranger that takes her to a base hidden within the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. There, she uses her leadership skills to help the base. Humanity is on its edge and Skylar must make the decisions that will define her.
