It was a bright afternoon in the city, a day a person would least expect to meet someone who can make the world stop or go around. But then it happened. I was wearing a cheap bedroom striped shirt and a heart printed pajamas with my bed hair, of course. Smudge mascara and unwashed face. I should've gone to my cousins restaurant wearing my literal 'woke up like this' face. Pero paano? I was literally living at the small bedroom at the back of that fancy restaurant. Shit does happen. Yes lalo na't hang over ka from a good friday booze at the bar just a corner of the street. I thought it's 5 in the morning, meaning close pa ang resto so I walked straight to the counter and ask the very kind assistant chef Joanna for a glass of water. Isn't it too much to ask? Yes it is. When actually it's 2 in the afternoon and Joanna my favorite girl is drooling over a hot guy who's asking for a water too.

There are moments in life so small, so ordinary, that you barely notice when everything changes. A glance held a little too long. A laugh that feels different in your chest. A touch that lingers. She became my best friend, my constant. Late-night calls, endless adventures, secrets whispered into the dark. It was always easy with her, natural. Safe. But somewhere between laughter and promises, something shifted. I didn't know it at first-not really. I just knew that when she smiled, it felt like the sun had chosen me. That when she cried, it hurt more than my own heartbreaks. That when she was near, the world made a little more sense. This is the story of how we found each other-not as we were, but as we were meant to be. From friends, to lovers, and somewhere even deeper than that. Because sometimes, the greatest love stories start with a simple truth: it was always you.
