Because of you is about a 19 year old young woman that goes by the name of Rain Johnson, 4 years ago her boyfriend, Jermaine, died in a shootout, running around in gangs & shit till one nigga finally popped his ass, it was all out of jealously. The nigga who shot jermaine, wanted to be with rain, but she wasnt having that shit so he did what he had to do. Diamond, Rains best friend tries to hook her up with her ex, Kentrell. At first Rain goes against the idea because of the simple fact that kentrell is diamond's ex. Sooner than later they start talking then that led to him stopping by her apartment, helping Rain realize that he has a 2 year old son that goes by the name of Jay. Rain loves kids so she didnt have a problem with it, but failed to realize Diamond didnt mention anything about Kentrell having any kids. The two didnt talk long before they actually started dating, causing Diamond to grow jealousy between the two causing drama as their relationship grows.
