Say Goodbye

The US has a new ruler. At first, he helps improve the nation a lot. But after a few months of his ruling, he started to change. Closed it's borders, altered the internet. No one could get into America. No one could leave.
That's when he started the killing.
Now, once every year, every state in the US gathers in one place. 10 people are chosen and sacrificed to the leader.
They had no chance say goodbye to their families, their normal life. They are taken straight away and locked down for a month to get used to the fact that they would be murdered, living until then in the underground dungeons.
After the month is over, they are taken one by one , killed in the slowest and most painful way, and served to the leader for dinner.

It's either escape, or say goodbye. Forever.
