Earth is saved from the Galra, and the Paladins of Voltron are the heroes of the Galaxy Garrison, well all except for Keith. He'd been kicked out before the war, and they didn't want him back. He's alone again. Lance, Pidge, and Hunk are employed by the Garrison, Shiro leads missions off world, Allura and Coran are establishing a new world for the Alteans who'd survived, and the Blade don't need him. Keith works in a coffee shop and gets by the best he can, on the little money he earns. This story is loosely based on the paladins of Voltron. Galran Paladin
The team captures a Galran who seems to be linked to Zarkon's high command, they intend to get information from him on the Galra plans. Lance, of course, is the first to talk to the emo Galran, and though he manages to get the info he needs, he tricks the Galran, Keith, which leads to a very rocky start. As the team discovers more about the Red Lion and it's Paladin, they learn that Keith may be of more use to them than just a prisoner. Voltron: Rise of the Lion Defenders
For millennia, the Galra Empire has plagued the universe by destroying civilizations and enslaving various races. The only threat to the empire is the legendary "Defender of the Universe" Voltron, a 328-foot tall robot warrior composed of five lion robots, based on their own elements, whose pilots are known as Paladins. At the crux of the war that ended with the destruction of planet Altea, King Alfor separated Voltron to protect him from falling into the evil Galra King Zarkon's possession. King Alfor sent the Voltron Lions across the universe to different locations to hide them from Emperor Zarkon. Princess Allura, Alfor's royal adviser Coran, and the Altean Castle of Lions were hidden on planet Arus along with the Black Lion. In the present, the Galra Empire's path of conquest and search for Voltron has led them to Earth's solar system. A group of space pilots-Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk-discover the Blue Lion and immediately get swept up into the Galran War.
