I don't have many rules in life. But one I have always followed is to never socialize with anyone going into the armed forces. I don't want to deal with the pain that comes with it.
But then I met him. I didn't expect to meet him. I didn't expect to care so much. Most of all... I didn't expect to fall in love. But once I committed to it there was no going back. I had broken my one and only promise to myself. And I was conflicted. I didn't know where this would lead me. But I would eventually find out.
