Destiny is a weird thing, ever since she was small, Kiana has been taught that destiny was set in stone. If you were meant to cross paths with someone, you will. If that person was meant to save the world because a long ancient prophecy says so, then that for sure will happen. But when the word of the prophecy suddenly shifts and changes it's mind, Kiana gets dragged into a world filled with magic, dragons, long lost and forgotten kingdoms, and a lot of yelling. -The stone looked really odd, blue light pulsing as a heartbeat. Staring at it longer, the gem was actually very beautiful. The pulsing continued its calm beat. Curiosity was going to kill me if I didn't get to touch the damn thing. Screw it, I'm going to touch it. Reaching out I touched the amulet. I wouldn't really call it touching, more like a feather light brush of fingertips to stone. But just as the blue light was pulsing, it suddenly faltered and turned off. Oh no. No no no no no no. Maybe if I wack it hard enough like I do with the old TV when it's being stubborn it would turn back on. I take a deep breath and step forward, reaching out to the amulet, I wack it. Nothing. I wack it again. Nothing. Crap. I need to get out of here. Quickly, I turn around running and grab the doorknob. Wait. I turn back around again and run back to the amulet and wack it a third time just to be sure. Unlike the other two times, the amulet doesn't turn back on, but starts humming. Welp, that my queue to skedaddle. Mom jogging back to the door, I open it and shut it again behind me, but not before glimpsing a once blue light, turn into a golden warm light.

Xavier furrows his eyebrows in pain. A tear of his own falling down his face. "No," he says shaking his head. "No. You've never been a bother to me. You aren't weak. And you most certainly aren't worthless." I gasp to breathe, and he continues talking. "What you are is an amazing person who hasn't let all of this crazy bullshit affect her. You handled it like a champ. What you are is a strong, brave being that has stood by my side." I breathe as he leans closer. "What you are, is the love of my life...."
