For many years, Razan Eldgrímr had fed and nurtured a single dream: to reach a sky that didn't exist in her homeworld of Nidavellir. Despite being a wingless snake-shifter living underground in eternal darkness, her dream was strong and her hope was intact. In the neighboring realm of Midgard was the sky she wanted so desperately and, perhaps, an opportunity to gain the magic she needed to climb into it.

This dream was her single consolation, until disaster struck in her first outing to Midgard.

Her memory wiped clean of whatever incident had occurred, Razan was haunted by the calamity that struck. Ever since the unremembered accident, her snake companion stopped speaking to her. She began to hear voices in her dreams; voices that she knew but had forgotten. A strange tattoo-like marking appeared on the back of her neck, shaped like a snake swallowing its tail.

The same week of the incident, Razan flew into a rage and murdered a boy, with not even a single memory of the catastrophe except for fully transforming into a serpent.

And everything came crashing down.

The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr
53 parts Ongoing
She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.
Eye of the Needle: Into the Reikai by DystopianSmile

Faith, fear, and fury. The strongest, most inalienable things that make us human. While the people of the world learn and grow, they shed feeling and emotion as time passes. Much like how matter cannot truly be destroyed, the energies of these sentiments never dissipates. Instead, it feeds beings born of all types of things, from ancient cultural followings to widespread societal discourse. In turn, these beings give back to the world--for better or worse. After the traumatic incident of his father's death, young DeMain is thrust into a world of turmoil and a hidden people right under the world's nose. As he harnesses a rare and unique ability gifted to him in exchange for his suffering, his view of the world unravels as he converges with others given the gift of Witchblood, an ability to see and interact with spirits. This book will take on its narrative based on the first-person views of three separate protagonists. I will remind those reading that 'protagonist' does not equate to 'hero' in all cases. A forewarning: This story includes many heavy themes and I felt the need to write them with the reality of how they happen. As such, be cautious. This book contains mentions of sexual assault, murder, violence, substance abuse, and overall conflict. There are also quite a varied amount of scenes with some 'gross' aspects to them. Though I imagine this would only affect those with vivid imaginations, you deserve to be warned regardless. Updates will done be once weekly if not more.

§ FALLEN FEATHERS IS OFFICIALLY COMPLETED § • This is the EDITED version of Fallen Feathers. Please feel free to read it (I suggest you do). Enjoy! • I stumbled blindly in the woods, lost. I was tired and so unsure of where I was, or where I was going. It had been days since I fled our village, burned to the ground. I remembered it well. Villagers were running and screaming frantically, fleeing as they were slaughtered from the front and behind. The looks of fear and surprise as the bodies fell to the ground... I watched from a distance, but still felt lost in the chaos. The raiders rushing about on horseback, or on foot, and the wolves they had tamed! Houses burning, children screaming, corpses littering the ground ... I wouldn't remember. I couldn't remember. My parents, in our cabin, made of wood... Burning, trapped inside ... Ashes falling and smoke everywhere. I urged myself to run away, to look away, but I couldn't. I stood helplessly and watched my parents burning, my mother screaming frantically. There was one raider, the raider mounted on horseback, who had the howling wolf tattoo on his arm, just as the rest of the Raiders. He watched as my parents burned, cackling to himself. I wanted to run and fight, but I couldn't. It was no use, they were already dead. I touched my mother's silver dragon necklace. I took it from her, after she died. Struggling to fight back tears, I tripped over a tree root, and fell to the ground. I was lost, and hopelessly so.

Small Mistake (Children!Nordics & Reader)

23 parts Complete

Small Mistake (Children!Nordics x Reader) This is my second story that I've ever made on DeviantArt and Wattpad. You can find the story on DeviantArt under the name of 'Infinitepandas180'. When life was getting too stressful for 20 year old Y/N L/N, she noticed that now her friends and family were now worrying about her. When she takes a friend's advice to try to relax for a couple of days, she agrees, unaware of what she would have to deal when a spell backfires on the Nordic brothers.
