Once upon a time, there lived a young princess in the name of Elizabeth. She had parents who were very controlling, and rules she needed to stick by with, unless she wanted to face the consequences. She had always wondered what it would be like to live a normal life - a life where you get to pick your own decisions, a life where rules were meant to be broken.
But then, one clear, breezy midnight, a thief, with a gun in his hand, breaks in the castle. Grabbing a wig, some contacts, and some clothes that some visitor probably left, Elizabeth disguises herself as a different person, and attacks the thief, but to her misfortune, he managed to escape the castle. 
Elizabeth, trying to catch him, accidentally stumbles, and loses him. Seeing as she was out of the castle, she ran towards the city, finding the thief, and escaping her perfect reality.
While on her journey, she meets a special person from the past...

When you're a princess this type of idea could be possible but not in my case. In the morning we find out that the Light of the Realms was stolen and the castle is on lock down. All the guests from the ball must be tested to see who committed the crime and to top it off the Light of the Realms was what kept this kingdom safe and without it armies are moving in. Will we find the Light of the Realms before it is to late? Will the prince be ready to lead this kingdom into war if he has to? This is a sweet middle grade/ young adult romance. It is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Warning: This is a rough draft! So there will be spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. There are probably parts in the story that don't make sense, need to be changed, or characters that are acting out of character.
