In the beginning of my insane story, there was fire. The golden and amber colored flames illuminating anything and everything around.
How could something so terrible be so beautiful? How could something so dangerous look so amazing? How could something so deadly be so breathtaking?
It was weird for me to seem so drawn to it. I felt like a moth in the moment of. Like a deer in headlights.
I stared at death as it just stared back in the form of something so peculiarly beautiful.

"I don't get why you're upset, Alex!" Betty yells as she looks at my broken state.
"Of course you don't, Betty! You never did! Because you were little miss perfect! You got everything you wanted! And fuck... I actually thought I could get the guy I've liked since kindergarten! But you just couldn't... What? Let me be happy? Fuck, what was this birthday party even for, Betty? To prove that you will be a better girlfriend then me?"
I scoff, "Fuck it, I'm out of here." I walk towards the door only to be shoved back by Cheryl as she walks in. "Where you going, firestarter? The party was just about to begin."

"I need somewhere to stay until the storm passes." His line of vision followed her hand as she pointed up at the sky and he winced a little. "May I?"
