A story about Quinton Matthews, a normal teen at Xavier High School, and Venn Dubois, a secret serial killer that's come to San Francisco to continue on his killing spree. When he meets Quinton, he reconsiders his actions while struggling to decide whether to kill him, his first possible male victim.
Quinton Matthews is intrigued by the possibility of befriending Venn Dubois, the new guy. What he doesn't know, is while he's friendly to Venn, Venn is the ultimate decider in the budding friendship.
Venn Dubois has killed 27 people, all female. He ran away from his home in Cincinnati 7 years ago, at the age of 10, jumping from town to town. When he started heading west, reaching Topeka, he made his first kill. She was 56 and a drug addict. Now the only person to want to befriend him is his next possible victim.
