Ballad

Ballad is a traditional poem which tells a story in simple and ordinary language and has a bouncy rhythm and rhyme scheme.

Ballad has a long history and are found in many cultures. It actually began as a folk song and still continues today in popular modern music

Usually, the themes of most ballads are tragic, but there are also some ballads which are comic in nature.
