Lauri Foster

Lauri Foster is a college student who believes that it is her calling in life to be a doctor. Lauri however, is a complete idiot and is no way qualified to be a doctor, let alone a student in medical school.

After failing an exam, Lauri leaves class (before it even starts) and heads straight to one of her favorite bars to meet one of her favorite bartenders (who is giving out more than just free drinks).
After meeting two strangers later that night, who attempt to offer her helpful advice, Lauri learns a valuable lesson in life and goes on to be a hero in her own way.

This is a previously self-published short story. It was one of the first things that I wrote with the goal of sharing with others. Since its original publication several years ago, I have or believe I have become a better, more disciplined writer. Thus, I have decided to revise it.

I will be posting in sections as I review and revise it - 3 total. I won't be making any serious changes from the original version but will spruce up sentences, grammar, and other errors. Once it is all done, I will re-publish the complete, updated version.
