Long before time itself, all-knowing deities were created to protect humanity and the realms that make up the universe. They were made from nothing but the stars and the will to defend. The Keeper, having records of all human life, passed down her powers through generations.
Now, the current Guardians in power continue the duties of those who came before them. They fight against those who are against them, and the demonic demons who lie in other realms beyond mortal reach.
