Frisk, while searching for a missing child, climbs Mount Ebott. He falls into the Underground, where he finds monsters living their everyday lives. He finds the missing child, a young boy named Niko, and the two get as close as brothers. But, a mysterious echo of another child appears before one of them. Could this child be another friend? Or, could they be a mysterious foe?
I do not own Undertale or OneShot, or any of the characters in these two franchises. Some elements from Glitchtale, created by Camila Cuevas, are in this story. I do not take credit for anything relating to this AU. I also do not own any art featured on the cover or within the story.

They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell. After the war, the monsters retreated into the deepest part of the Underground, which would be called, "Home." - Note: In chapter one i NICKNAME frisk "Sam" Due to the fact you dont figure out their name until the end of pacifist so i had to put a nickname to make it easier to write and read. Sam is a neutral name so it should be fine. - NOTE: All lines with this symbol " * " is going to be in Wing Ding font in the final release of the book. But for now, it is already deciphered for you! - *So yeah! Undertale; Despair AU 《REWRITE》
What if there was an anomaly in the Underground? No, not Frisk. Not Chara either. Someone else entirely. How could a few measly children stand to this supposedly immortal foe and save the Underground from destruction? Is it even possible to do so? Only one way to tell... ~o0o~ Disclaimers before you start! •There is NO fanon ships. That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I dislike those types of stories. The reader will have no part in this, and they will not be shipped with anyone. •This exists outside of canon to an extreme. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. I'm planning on rewriting it after this one, as it is much more random and definitely needs it. Clanky, plot holes/retconning, etc. It's more of an OC thing, to explore them and their issues, than an Undertale thing, but it has its similarities. •There will be some explicitives. It won't be unnecessary or excessive, only when it fits the situation and character. I will not be using any slurs, as that's just plain disrespectful, even if some of them apply to me. Credits: Undertale, obviously, created by Toby Fox and Temmie Chang. "The Time Before" by ANinnyMouse42 is the backstory for Sans in this AU with some adjustments (mainly since that was very close to my original idea before I read it and I don't want people to think I copied their masterpiece or smth, if you haven't read it please do so, it's really good). Some things will be in reference to the other books in the trilogy or "From War to Science" by Emotistic-optimistic. If you haven't, read that too. It's really good (along with its sequel). Once below the surface (sans x frisk)
I was tired of fighting the pain, so I gave up. And then, a sudden yellow light burst trough the basement. Sans..? <> Frisk falls into the underground after running away from the orphanage she's been trapped in for a lot of years. In those years, a lot happened too. Like, when she was eleven, she went missing. Yet, she can't remember what happened. In the undergrounds, she meets the Mysterious Sans, who somethimes is called 'G.' Frisk finds out about what happened in the undergrounds, and what happened to Sans.
