I absolutely love C.S. Lewis and his Chronicles of Narnia, because it was, essentially, a third of my childhood. Here we go! This is sort of an exercise in descriptive, creative, poetic writing, whatever for me, so, as always, constructive criticism is welcome. I'm not expecting anything, this is just a tribute to a cherished series and a beloved author. DISCLAIMER, nothing belongs to me, but the phrasing I use.

My pen pal from Britain was called Peter Pevensie. He'd send me letters all the time about the smallest things- from his home in London where he lives with his siblings to the mundane things that he would do at school. We would joke about fairy tale stories where he would meet me as if he were a knight in shining armour, or a king waiting for his queen. We never realised those jokes would have become a reality... "Oh. Milady Ashton, are you going to the ball for King Peter." The young centaur shyly asked Ashton. Ashton crouched down next to her, meeting her eye level with a friendly smile, "I'm afraid I don't know what you mean, little one." "You know... The ball thing... Mommy told me it was the King's opportunity to woo a lady of Narnia." She explains with her limited vocabulary and a small lisp. "A courting ball?" Ben asks the little one. "That's it!" She exclaims, "Are you going?" "I guess we will see, we haven't been back to the castle since the war," Ashton tells the five-year-old, sugarcoating her response to avoid disappointing the child. "Ohh." She nodded before leaning down to Ash to whisper in her ear, "My father told me stories from the war, of course not the stories with too much fighting, but he mentioned the greatness of the prophesied. You were always my favorite." She giggles. Ash didn't know what to say as the little centaur bounced away. She stood from the party, needing a minute outside. Edmund followed her after her, wanting to help his dear friend with the news. "Ash, I'm sure there's an explanation." "Yes, a simple one Ed. I left. Your brother owes me nothing. It is his choice. If he wants every spoiled, perfect, primitive, self-centered princess within a hundred miles lining up at his feet. That is his choice and does not concern me." Ashton admits, more negatively than she intended. "This is not going to end well." My Narnian Tale
Everyone knows the Chronicles of Narnia. But imagine actually finding Narnia after reading about it growing up. After the Pevensies defeated the White Witch, they set guards on possible entrances into the kingdom. The guards have a simple order, any person that enters is to be brought to the kings and queens and welcomed to the land. When Elizabeth Ryan enters, she meets the kings and queens that she read about as a child and is shocked to find out that they look the same as the actors from the films. What will happen when this newcomer catches the eye of the high king? What if the beloved stories by C.S. Lewis only have the beginning correct, and not the end? I (obviously) do not own any of the recognized Narnia characters. The plot and some characters are my own.Concluida
