an overview of student's interest in attainment of theoretical knowledge, making first class the most important priority which is not Wrong anyway,but forgetting to balance it up with the practice of their respective courses or profession. in a country like Nigeria certificates are proves of theoretical knowledge, not practice and as such many students become partially useless for themselves and the economy.
