The Last Knights of Cambria Book 1: Echoes of Gideon by kullman
16 parts Complete
Gideon Saint is dying for something exciting to happen in his life. With his love of history, he figures an internship at the museum has to be a good start, right? Anything is better than listening to his parents argue or sitting alone in his room doing research no one but him seems to care about. A chance encounter with a magical ring leaves him transported to an alternate version of ancient Wales, or as it was sometimes called, Cambria. 1432 Wales, to be exact. Here magic is the most powerful weapon of all as kings vie for power. Good thing Gideon's teleportation from the present has also left him with the ability to use magic, and he's quickly regarded as a powerful wizard. In this timeline, Wales maintained it's independence, but that's about to change. Henry V is on the throne of the England, and the greatest warrior king England has ever had has set his sights on Wales. Can Gideon help save his newfound friends and master his new powers, while living a double life in the 21st century? Ahem, living people die, dying people live, Henry V is here and he's awesome despite being the main antagonist, everybody is vaguely gay, swords are described in loving detail, people are not, lovely platonic friendships, did we mention swords? Yes, you may learn something about history, but that's a risk you'll have to take. Basically, think of this as a Percy Jackson type of adventure, but it's historical fiction instead of Greek gods. The narrator is 15 and the major supporting characters are 14, 17, and 19. That said, there's nothing in the way of content that's inappropriate for a younger reader. As always if you're not here to go on a fun little adventure find a different story. Trigger/Content: very mild language, some magic violence, fantasy violence. Self-harm is briefly discussed. Adoption issues are discussed as well as brief scenes of a abusive family. Characters briefly mention crushes and or dating, no real innuendos.

"Arise now, ye Tarnished. Ye dead, who yet live. The call of long-lost grace speaks to us all!" It was a simple, yet grand purpose to those given a second chance by the Light of Grace. To become Elden Lord and claim the Elden Ring. Many would be emboldened by the flame of that ambition, and many more would perish at the hands of those who wished nothing more than to see the Tarnished dead. Such was the way things were in the Lands Between, shattered and fractured to the point of chaos between its residents. Only a select few would be guided by Grace, however only one would truly be gifted with something incredible. A gift that would render the physical well-being of a soul... unworried in the face of death. Yet the mind of that same individual would only be further damaged from it. So what did it mean to have true immortality? A blessing? Or merely a foul curse in disguise? One Tarnished warrior would grow bitter to it nonetheless, all the while cherishing the one gift he truly had. A friend. One he would do anything to protect, and one he would grow to love in spite of fate itself. This is an Elden Ring Two-Shot story; a Male reader X Melina story. He had everything he could ever want; luxuries, fine meals, power, respect... He needed nothing more than himself in the realm to fill his empty heart. Alexander, a prideful, arrogant, and powerful King is cursed to live in the hideous form of a monstrous beast after showing his heartless ways at a masquerade ball. Desperately, King Xander uses all of his own sources of magic to try and break the hell-bound curse, all while staying defiant in following the Enchantress' prophesy of love. After years of living hidden in the castle walls, time and hope began running out for the King and all his servants, who were cursed alongside him. If the King never tried following the love prophecy, could it perhaps be his last chance at redemption? 𝐿𝑜𝓋𝑒... it was almost laughable. How could a heartless King ever love? And most importantly, how could someone ever love a beast? *I only write when it's cold* ❄️⛈️ #1 in Innerconflict! - 7/5/2025 #6 in lgbtlove 🥹
