Casey, like everyone else, was pretty normal. She wouldn't consider herself unique in any way. She's always wanted to be different, she wanted to stand out, and not be just random face people remember passing in the halls. She wanted to do something, and have a purpose. She just never knew that what she wanted, threatened her life, and the lives of the ones around her. Multiple times.

She had tons of friends and was seen as kind of a badass but that confidence fell quickly when Ashton Shadow moved to town. She felt something when she looked at him as did he with her. In their town the woods were off limits. For the past eight years this town has been nothing but murders of young teens. Found mostly in the woods. What was killing these innocent people? No one knew. Niko's mom warned her about not getting to close to Ashton as his family was an enemy to theirs. She couldn't help but feel the need to talk to him. To protect him. To touch him. Most importantly to love him. Niko follows Ashton into the woods and what they both discover they will never forget.Complete

In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.Complete
