Even so, the Capitol knows of your arrangement, even if non of the other districts really know mich about it. How will it go, when they you are pitted against each other, with doubt in your minds? Careers are on the lose, and after you though, and Cato is trying his best to protect you. What will happen when it's the two of you against them in the arena?

We know her story. But have you ever wondered what it was like on the home front, in District 12? This story is Gale's, his outlook on the games, his feelings about his best friend's situation, and his interactions with the people of District 12. The story is set during the time period of "The Hunger Games" (book one of the trilogy). It is written from the perspective of Gale Hawthorne, and does not concern any events in books two and three. This is my first fan fiction, my first "real" attempt at long form prose writing, and my first Wattpad story. I appreciate constructive feedback, but please, no hate. While the characters and some plot points are based off of Suzanne Collins's Hunger Games Trilogy, (which I in no way own the rights to) I have created this story using my own imagination.
