This is the bleakest, darkest poem I've ever written. I suppose the reader is left to wonder if it is really about the Antichrist or just about a man going insane. Actually its really about a man going insane. (But is there more to it than that? Has he transcended insanity as he sought to do? Maybe.)

This story began as a NaNoWriMo 2012 work, with no planning, and even less idea of plot. I learned from that experience that I am not a 'pantser' -and spent about 20 painful months trying to turn my stream-of-consciousness 3-stories-in-one into one coherent novel, following the timeline and events in the Book of Genesis. I discovered that that is not a great way to build a plot. I ended after 5 more drafts, at about 60k words. There is another draft on my blog, slightly longer, a bit more experimental. This is only meant to be a marker of progress. I hope some may find it enjoyable, useful, and even helpful.
