Betty and Jughead were childhood best friends. Every night, Betty would escape her house of madness to the Jones' treehouse down the road. That was until one night... the tree house was torn down, F.P Jones was flung in prison and the remainder of Jugheads family made a quick move to the south side of Riverdale. 

Growing up surrounded by bad influences, Jughead quickly became distant, splashing on a Serpent jacket and trying to fix up the mess that his father had created. Betty took over the Riverdale Register when her mom retired, it's a way to be home with Jayden when she can't find anyone to watch him.
