She gets sucked into the mess of magic and brights when Nick, Jacoby & Tikka are attacked at the corner store and she picks up the wand to give it back to Tikka. Who knew picking up a stick would lead to so much? (Anyone else find my title page funny? It matches his expression perfectly.)
