With a new king on the throne, the worlds of humans and elementals are finally at peace with one another. 
For Dvalin and his mother, with the peace comes a chance to be together once more, to be a family where they hadn't been able to previously. The world of the elementals has had a chance to heal, recovering from the long absence of Isla, and balance has been restored. 
For Nahara, the peace makes no difference. The loss of her mother is still raw and unhealed, and all she wants is to find peace within herself.

After The Uprising, the Lurwicks' lives were completely turned around along with the rest of The Group. Twin sisters Waverly and Willow are now the only family that they have. Despite himself, Korith finds himself intrigued by the dark-skinned woman, and begins to dig deeper into the true history of the elementals.
