Prince Marcus and his betrothed, Crown Princess  Alyssa, have always been role models to everyone in their kingdom. The two have been engaged for as long as they can remember and are able to accomplish anything together.

 Marcus' father, King Eric, is ruler over the South Kingdom and Alyssa's father is the king's right hand man. Alyssa's father conceives a plan that divides Alyssa and Marcus, both physically and emotionally. 

When Alyssa is sent on a questionable mission by her father, she is told to keep it a secret from everyone, including Marcus. 

What the two young royal lovers don't know, however, is that Alyssa's "mission" will change their whole world forever and the may not be able to come back from it.
