OPEN L I F E as we know is is D E A D. In the town of Therodia, life has been going smoothly for over 200 years. It was a colony built in the year 3867, which had a dictator who was always seen as kind and empathetic. Now it is 4067. 30 years after the War of Therodia, there is now a central power center. It is called the Heart. The Heart has given the plants life since they were destroyed in the war. Nowadays, it alsoo provides the town with clean water, a free supply they get from the government. Everyone seems happy. No one seems to question why everyone wakes up at 6 am. No one seems to wonder why every little thing has a set time. Someone has poisoned the heart. The veins turn black and the plants are dying. The government has built a force-field like barrier around their colony. No one can get in, but more importantly, no one can get out. 20 teenagers are somehow... disconnected from the real world. Or, what they thought was the real world.

Book Two: They encourage, not the realists and the brave, but the gullible and the fragile, those too weak to fight back. They massacre lower and middle-class citizens once every month to control the growing population through a method called Cleansing. They rid of all music except modern pop to eliminate diversity, keeping only one artist from each state in the music industry. They stop anyone from going in or out of the country and kick out all those not born within the now-armed borders. And that's just the beginning of what they call "The Great Reformation," the grand change of the United States government and all of its operations. All because the United Kingdom has turned against the nation and declared war, or so President Nathaniel Carter says. Carter, as the dictator, begins to tell citizens certain things, things that Ryan Tedder and his bandmates, Zach, Eddie, Brent, and Drew, don't actually buy. After all, physicist Niels Bohr once said, "The best weapon of a dictatorship is secrecy." Along with this chaos, Ryan is trying to deal with the stress of Ramona becoming distant due to her past reappearing, and the new rules and regulations making his career walk on a tightrope. The national anthem may say otherwise, but the United States is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. Not with the new government. Ryan and the other guys are determined to dig through the lies and find the real reason why. © 2016 by Verona Rohellec. Second installment of the Blooming Passion trilogy. Complete. Mature language.
