An alternative Violet Evergarden storyline that picks up at the same time as the netflix show. Major Gilbert survived the war and picks up Violet instead of Claudia Hodgins.
I'm not a writer nor do I aspire to become one, but these two just deserved more time together and after reading a translation of the novel, I just had to write this, as I couldn't find any English fanfiction. (not even on tumblr???)

(A/N: This is essentially going to be a process of fixing + improving Lean on Us, a pre-existing fic on my page, as I'm not too happy with how it came out as the years go by. As this happens, (Y/N) transfers into Marinette's class upon being adopted by their uncle due to the sudden death of their parents. (Y/N) is still moving on and dealing with the repercussions of their mother and father's passing when Juleka introduces (Y/N) to Luka at their band rehearsal. They form a strong bond and become fast friends- and quickly become something more- but how much more can they be in the chaos of suddenly becoming a hero on top of that? Adrien was a good boyfriend. He listened to what Marinette said about Luka and tried his best to keep his distance, ignoring what was becoming a wonderful friendship.
