My name is Imani Kate Dawson.
I am a teenage spy on the run with my parents, but you see, I was forced into this situation. I was forced to leave my school- of spies- and my four best friends. I was forced to leave my life.
But I don't blame my parents, even though this is all because of something they stole, something they should have left behind.
But soon enough I came to a town, a school, which turned my life around.
Once again, I was stuck in the middle of a situation; a situation that could reunite me with my friends, a situation that could find me some new friends, a situation that could lose me the most important people in my life, a situation that could bring forth more questions, a situation that could give me answers as well as destroying them, a situation that could ignite any possible danger and heartache, and a situation that could ruin my life.
And what is that situation, you ask? Well, you will just have to read to find out.
Please, would you stick with me as a struggle through the hardest time of my life? Will you stay by my side? Will you never leave? Because- although my troubles are not all that interesting- I could really use a friend.
My name is Imani, but I don't feel the supposed comfort of my full name as my parents do, or did. Some people even ask why it's spelt with an I instead of an O, but all I can say is that my parents wanted me to be unique (not that a name would succeed with that).
But, please... Call me Marni.
A blank doll with acting and action running in her veins, Freia woke up in a hospital with no memory of what brought her there. Sure, the doctors said a car crash delivered her there, but it didn't feel like it. They said her family's dead but how come Freia didn't feel like that was true?
Her very first visitors were her adoptive parents, Fabio and Darlene Hunter. She had four friends that stuck with her ever since she could remember, literally. That is until one who was dear to her was killed, in front of her.
Of course, she was devastated. Why would that be a question?
One day, Fabio decided to put her into his school filled with students that he specifically chose to be in. When she was finally forced to be in it, she found out things she thought that only existed in books. Powers unknown to the modern world, sheltered children who only knows the world through TV and non-interactive computers. All of the information comes in that school, but never comes out.
I gotta say, why would you believe something that was written and altered by humans from outside?
Would you even put your trust on the person who doesn't let you out unless he wants you to?
Read on as we see Freia and her friends struggle to find their places in the world they thought they knew of.
