Anansi, the old spider deity, is alive, breathing again, and he has come for what he is owed. Mọ́remi has two mothers, but that's not the strangest thing about her. She is the last descendant of the Dahomey Warriors, a dangerous group of all female warriors who once conquered everything in sight until, strangely, they disappeared. Everything changes when Anansi kidnaps her mother and she learns there's more about her lineage than even she knew. ** Uyai has always been different from the other boys, in ways he never knew how to articulate. In a journey that tasks every part of him, he learns the strange truth of his heritage. Everything only gets worse when Anansi kidnaps his father and Uyai is forced to confront his worst, deepest fear.
