Vivian Reece moved to a new town in the middle of nowhere to live with her aunt after she survived a car accident (that was hardly an accident) that killed her mother. Every day, she blames herself for her mother’s death and her guilt has been giving her vivid flashbacks of her mom’s final moments that she doesn’t want to remember.
Now, Christmas break has just ended and Viv is starting at her new school, Summers High, to finish grade ten. She plans on finishing her school carrier with little to no contact with other people, but there’s one person barring her path; Kendall Sanderson. Vivian believes that Kendall is trying to pry her secret out of her and cause her misery on purpose, but despite herself, Vivian is starting to believe that maybe her mother’s death was not her fault. But what happens when Kendall has some secrets of his own?
