A shy but fiercely loyal and caring girl (who was curiously named Michelangelo by her out-of-the-box-thinking parents) has had it BAD for the beautiful but seemingly cold queen of her school, known as "Icy Lucy", since middle school. They are now juniors in high school and prom season is approaching. There is nothing Mia would like more than to take Lucy to the dance, but she knows there is absolutely no chance of her (1) being able to muster up the courage to actually ask her and (2) being accepted even if she did.
