With the apocalypse established as the new way of living, the first half walker, Samantha, rises. Upon murdering her friend, a voice comes to her known as 'Gollum', with promises to keep her alive. However, it is soon revealed that Gollum's intentions are not as altruistic as they first seem, and Samantha is left struggling to balance who she once was with Gollum's darker desires.
