Story inspired by a haunted painting.

"It's only a painting."  She'd said.  Neil wasn't so sure.  

Neil Carter and his wife Selene moved into a new home to leave the past behind them.  Consumed by their distractions, balanced on a razors edge of tension and despair, a painting finds it's way into their hands.  She sees it as a an object of appreciation, he a distasteful object  who's unnerving effects lingered.  There was no denying that it had a power to it.  

A wealthy collector inserts himself into their lives, coveting the painting.  Hinting at knowledge of the strange painting, his every word and action sows distrust. 

A ragged and decrepit old man lusts after the painting, tracking it's current owners with a bestial tenacity.   

Past pain begins to seep through the cracks in their facade.  Tensions grow.  The painting is getting louder.   Can you hear it?All Rights Reserved
