They say if you keep awake late into the night, when the wind quiets down and the stars fall asleep, you will catch a glimpse of a silhouette in a lit up window of the palace. Bent over scrolls and quill pushing across paper furiously, the Royal Scroll Keeper works long and hard, despite her withering age.
A duty, dark secrets, and a love story. A king in danger, two brothers in conflict, and only one girl who can save them all. The memories cloud her past and beckon nightmares to knock on her door.
Best not ask the king anything about her, goodness no. That would lead to death. Not many of the palace staff were present during her era, so that would not prove helpful. But with a bit of courage, some wit, and a dash of determination, creep into the palace, climb the West Tower, and you will find yourself in the Room of Scrolls.
From there, dear reader, I dare you to ask the Scroll Keeper her secret...
and her story.
