On everybody's 17th birthday, they're required to draw a mark on their body. It doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter what, but that mark will show up on the skin of their soulmate. You could write your location, like some have done, or you could be like Michael Mell, and draw a tattoo that you and your friend have always wanted. A mark, that could possibly be shared with your best friend? But you can't really be too sure, until the mark's made. And with just a few lines, you future unfolds. With just some strokes of a sharpie, dots of a pen, your life changes. And it all starts, with a mark.

Until you find your soulmate the world is in black and white until you meet your soulmate. When you turn 18 a tattoo of your soulmate's first word to you appears on your arm. If you're older than your soulmate you stay 18 until he/she/they catch up. When Harry wakes up on his 13th birthday he notices two things. 1. The room is in color. 2. COLOURS
Everybody has a tattoo; they could be absolutely anywhere on your body. The tattoo begins appearing on the person's sixteenth birthday. Nobody has the same tattoo as they reflected the person's personality. They could be similar, but they are never duplicated. Depending on the person's soulmates mood, the colour of the tattoo changes. When they're mad, it turns a mix of deep red and orange, when they are embarrassed it changes to a bright yellow, when they are upset it turns blue, when they are feeling lonely it turns purple and so on. The only time the tattoo will light up and turn white is when the person and their soulmate are in a thirty foot radius and when you lock eyes with your soulmate, it begins to heat up.
