Realm of the Abyss

Long ago, seven jewels were forged at the heart of the earth by the dark sorceror Virghidz. In an attempt to manipulate and enslave his enemies, he divided his soul into tiny fragments, portioning them into each of the gems. The weak souls of men sought these mysterious rocks and lured the sorcerer into their realm, stealing the jewels. Consumed with rage Virghidz created an eigth gemstone; infusing what's left his tattered soul, he struggled to maintain his physical form and became nothing but a mere shade. Fighting against the sorceror, the Elven kingdom sought serenity and eventually brought about the desolation of this malicious dark lord, sealing him away for all eternity. That was untill the sorceror's airborne beast took vengence and forced the Elves into hiding, tyranting over the realm awaiting his masters return.
Eons later during the third age, Rohan Soliece, a petty commoner deciphered a prophecy on the remains of an ancient tablet. In an attempt to prevent the forecoming events, he embarks on a journey to rid the world of the dragon.
