Do you *really* think Albus Dumbledore didn't have a plan to destroy the Dark Lord before Harry Potter came along?
Before the golden boy, fate smiled on a golden girl.
Ramona Belle is an extremely talented young witch when her otherworldly connections land her in the crosshairs of the Dark Lord at the height of his power. But when those connections set off a strange sequence of events, the dark side makes a different call: they don't want Ramona dead, they want her on their side. Her powers are outside of anything the wizarding world has ever seen, and her shady past seems to make her a perfect candidate for a new recruit.
But Dumbledore, seeing both the international chaos and the potential of a good girl on the wrong side of the law, makes Ramona a deal: if she spies on the dark side for him in secret, he will train her, guarantee her amnesty, and help her master the curse that makes her so valuable to the Dark Lord. Having nothing to lose, Ramona agrees, knowing that it would be better to be in control of her fate than live her entire life looking over her shoulder.
But infiltrating the highest order of darkness since Grindelwald isn't as easy as one would hope. Besides the fact that all of Ramona's shady activity is participating in illegal dragon-fighting, she shows little aptitude or stomach for the kind of violence the Death Eaters perform regularly, which makes her impossible for them to trust. But the Dark Lord has a plan to see where Ramona's allegiance truly lies, and the time for ending this war before the dark side gets the upper hand is quickly running out.
(Another original fanfiction by a huge fr*ckin nerd, go figure.)
